Often during unplanned pregnancy counseling, parenting the child or seeking an abortion are thoroughly explored. Comprehensive information about the adoption alternative is often not available. Completion of the Understanding Infant Adoption Program provides healthcare and counseling professionals with an accurate and complete understanding about the adoption experience. This training is an important step in assuring that every pregnant woman knows all the facts about adoption. We want to support women in crisis. Our goal is a woman making a well-informed decision. In order to make an informed decision, comprehensive information about all choices should be presented.

Our expert trainers lead professionals through a comprehensive and dynamic one-day training session. Knowledge of types of adoptions and familiarity with the viewpoints and challenges of birth mothers, birth fathers, adoptive parents and adoptees are integral to this training. Materials include: a video, client brochure, and a listing of adoption resources throughout the southeast.
